I was nothing like my usual confident self when I stepped into the dental clinic. For the past couple of months, that confidence has been on the dip with each visit to the dentist. Thankfully there were 2 patients ahead of me, that gave me a couple of minutes to brace myself for the wisdom tooth extraction I was going to be put through.
My permanent tooth crown has been cemented. For the past week, it was being created in the lab and the temporary tooth crown was in its place. Just like the previous visit, it was a painless procedure and lasted no more than 10 minutes.
I had the option to wait for a referral from a polyclinic so that I would be fully covered on my wisdom tooth extraction and need not fork out a single cent. But I chose not to, as I did not want to complicate matters any further.
I have been suffering from unbearable pain on the right side of my gums for the past week. Almost everyday, I would wake up from my sleep due to the pain and the only way I could get back was to numb it by drinking extremely cold water and taking 2 tablets of panadol.
