I finally gotten my lazy ass moving and made a trip down to IDP to do up a campus transfer application. I want to continue pursuing my Bachelor of Computer Science, but at the Adelaide campus. If all goes well, I would be leaving sunny Singapore in February 2010.
I figured that there would be many students like myself who wish to make the transfer and study on a full-time schedule at Adelaide. Do not expect any help from NAAEC on the process. Once you decide to change campus, you are pretty much on your own. That was why I decided to turn to IDP.
Do note that the application charge for the University of Adelaide is waived off. Lucky us! However as a prerequisite, you need to have a decent command of English.
In the application form provided, there is a student ID number box. Do fill that up. For poly students, here’s a suggested set of documents you need to ready. Do remember for verification purposes, you must bring along only the originals and copies will be made.
- GCE ‘O’ levels results certificate
- Polytechnic result transcripts
- Awarded Diploma
- Letter of offer into University of Adelaide via NAAEC
According to the counselor that attended to me, it would take about 4 to 6 weeks for a reply from the university. I am quite skeptical of that figure, but I will just have to be patient for now.
I would be sharing every bit of the process leading up to its completion so that you have a guide on what needs to be done to fall back on should you want a full-time study schedule at Adelaide.
