MiniMoo Minimalist WordPress Theme

I have decided to release my latest minimalist WordPress theme as a stable one. Up till now, it has been stuck at 0.7b as there were a couple of features missing as well as some yet to be fixed lingering bugs.

MiniMoo’s the name

MiniMoo is a 2 column extremely light weight minimalist theme heavily based on MooTools framework 1.2.

Using almost no images, it is meant to provide zero distractions and focuses fully on the user’s content. And as always it is valid XHTML Strict 1.0.

Features

  • Clean
  • Excerpts in posts
  • AJAX commenting and page navigation
  • Widget and Gravatar enabled
  • Comment threading and paging

This is one of the nicest WordPress themes I have seen, and I have looked at a lot! The typography looks good. Too bad it is not available for “borrowing.” :) I was looking for your Mocha Lime theme as well to see if that one was available for download. Hope there will be some public themes in the future.

follow: Thanks! These words really mean a lot to me as a theme developer. MiniMoo will go public once I manage to get a new theme going. Mocha Lime was a personal failure, that is why I have removed it.

Where I can download the 1.2.3 versión?

  5. Darran says:

Franco: I have already submitted it to the theme repository, it fixes a couple of outstanding bugs, it should be up really soon.

  6. Franco says:

Ok, is a very good theme.

    Thanks for your work.

Even though it’s version 1.2.4, the version number still shows up as 1.2.3 in footer.php.

I assume this was just an oversight?

Anyone wanting to change the version number to the correct one, look for the and change 1.2.3 to 1.2.4

When you mentioned you fixed the post date alignment issue, what did you mean?

The post date shown for the first post on the page shows up inline with the Title of the post, whereas the rest of the posts have the date lined up with the line below the title of the post.

Is there any way I can make these consistently lined up with the post title?

Thanks in advance, great theme, very slick.

Abhilash: The version number is an overside on my part, it should be 1.2.4 and not 1.2.3.

The post date alignment issue was to adjust the position of the date so that the date is aligned to the middle of the post title. The problem you are encountering is due to the post title being too long, I will come up with a fix for that real soon.

Thanks for your efforts and the prompt reply.
