Just so you know, “Calcio” is another term for football in Italian. I usually love to associate Italian Football with it. Everyone knows what an avid supporter of S.S. Lazio I am. I could just talk about anything Lazio-related all day long. It has been quite a while since I last watched Calcio on a regular basis.

In the past, Starhub Cable TV was the only source from which I could have my occasional chance of catching Lazio in action. However this season they saw it fitting to completely wipe out the ISA from our screens and have an unrivaled complete coverage of every singe EPL game and a decent one for the SPL despite the increase in subscription fees.

How is it balanced that every week the program guide is bombarded with every single match from the EPL, but none from the ISA despite the known fact that A.C. Milan won the UCL and every single English team were knocked out last season?

Not all football fans in Singapore are fans of an EPL club despite it being the most watched league in Singapore. This doesn’t mean the lesser followed leagues should be cast aside.

I am not the only one who is complaining about this unfair representation of match coverage by Starhub.

How do I follow my favorite team in the ISA you ask?
Through an Italian radio streaming service by Piazza Della Liberta. Thankfully, they do care about us english-speaking listeners and have provided an Italian-English commentary of the match.

There isn’t any way I can catch the well documented Derby Della Capitale also known as the famous Rome Derby which is arguably the best in the world.

The only chance I can have the opportunity to watch Lazio in action this season is through the UCL which they are participating in. And even so, the occurrence of that happening is only limited to 1 or 2 games.

Recently, I stumbled upon a paid streaming site; SerieA.tv which broadcasts all Serie A matches live through a webcast. Unfortunately, their services are only extended to most countries in North and South America and talks are underway to broadcast in other countries.

In the event that SerieA.tv actually gains the internet broadcasting rights in Singapore and Starhub do not have any means of providing an equal and fair match coverage of every top football league, I would gladly scrape it to subscribe to SerieA.tv even if it means paying USD 109.95 for each season.
