Now that my erupting wisdom tooth is out of the way, it is time to make plans for crowning the tooth which I broke 8 years ago. You must be wondering why I have to go through the process of crowning when I could have pulled the tooth out right from the start.

A simple extraction was not a viable solution at that time as the tooth’s nerve had been damaged and root canal treatment followed by the crowning of the tooth was the only course of action.

Thinking that the consultation costs would be fully subsidized, I headed down to the Woodlands Dental Clinic to seek consultation. But it was not to be as I was told that I would bear the full costs of the consultation and treatment fees despite being a NSF. I would have been better off seeing my private dentist. It would save me a great deal of time too.

Never mind the long waiting time despite having booked an appointment. An X-Ray was done to ensure that there no complications had set in during the 8 years. Due to my preference for a nearer treatment facility, I was referred to a specialist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

My appointment has been set to next Wednesday. I would probably have to go through another consultation session before I actually go through with the 2 sessions of treatment.
