The enlistment date
So far the enlistment date has brought nothing but problems and uncertainty. Well, all that was squashed today. Got back home only to have a decent surprise awaiting me. I saw a letter from CMPB for my Dad, so I thought, a re-service perhaps? Only to find out that I was pulled into the package with an already opened envelope.
It says (I will skip the bullshit):
You are hereby required to report for enlistment on O9 Oct 2007 (Tue) at 8.30 AM to Police Academy (PA)
7 weeks of BMT, but surprise surprise, Sze Kiat is enlisting on the same date, same time and same designation. I have a buddy for our 7 weeks of BMT, I don’t think it would be that killing compared to those in PES A but nonetheless it would be an interesting 7 weeks.
I am really glad that I won’t be enlisting so early like some of my friends who are going in as early as June. This forms a very good clearer base for which to begin my work on, I have a definitive time span to plan my project, my future is much clearer and I can push forward to a prolonged stay at MediaCorp Radio.
Tomorrow evening, my mother sets off for Korea on a 5 day holiday, I probably wouldn’t be able to see her at all tonight. I would be all alone till mid next week, wonder how much of a change that would be for me despite me being used to her absence from the house. Though I don’t say it in words, but I know I would miss her.
seems to me im the onli 1 left who hasnt gotten my enlistment date

As you can see, the default gravatar isnt showing in the top one, and in mine (the white one), the text goes behind it. I’ve played around with the code and used the one provided in the gravatar 2 read me… but that didnt work (I dont think I had the css applied to it tho lol).

I used to have that problem. I did some changes but I can’t tell exactly what, I need to have the URL to your site so that I know what is wrong.
Did you edit the Gravatar options in your admin page?
Default gravatar image should point to /wp-content/themes/dark/images/default_32.gif

I checked my comments and this is the portion needed to display the image.
I am not sure whether it is the same lines but find the code to edit the image.
Change the source to “< ?php gravatar(); ?>” Does that help?
