Sometimes movies are not just movies
I rarely blog about the movies I have watched for 2 reasons. Firstly, you can get a review of it from people who actually know what they are talking about. Secondly, I hate spoiling the excitement for movie-goers who have not caught it yet.
I take a liking to movies which after watching it, pushes me to relate it to something. Of course there are many different genres of movies which provides me with nothing more than that hour or so of pure entertainment. And I can have no complaints. Not every movie has to be provide me with more than just a form of relaxation.
Today, I caught Speed Racer. There will not be any spoilers to what went on, you can catch it for yourself. This was an example of a movie which was something more than that. It reinforced a belief I have based my life on - passion.
Though the situations in movies are somewhat unrealistic and are near impossible to emulate in the real world, it actually keeps your beliefs going strong, to follow them no matter what is used to deter you away.
Practically everything in today’s world is monetized.
Take football for example, how many professional players out there really play the sport for their passion and are able to reject a better salary to continue playing at their hometown club? Just a handful.
That is probably the reason why I am proud of being a Laziale. Though they are not the one of the most famous and decorated football clubs, over the years, players who bleed Lazio through and through are willing to take salary cuts just to help the club out through the difficult times.
How about something we bloggers can all relate to? Blogging.
Why are you blogging? Are you blogging to earn money? Or are you blogging because you want to blog and make known your input to the entire world?
For me, I am blogging not just because it is my passion but rather, I want to make a difference with my opinion as well as share a part of my life with everyone out there. I may be getting a small monthly income from advertisements but they do not form any part of the reason as to why I blog.
Just how many of us are willing to live our passion without doing it on the basis of monetary benefits?
I blog to share my opinions and hope to make people nod in agreement or smile at my lame jokes. But of course I wouldn’t mind to earn a respectable income from it if able.
