Root Canal re-treatment completed
Today’s visit was the final installment of my Root Canal re-treatment. From mid April to end August, the entire treatment had stretched over the period of 4 months. The agony which I have had to grit my teeth and endure is not something which I would like to be put through ever again.
Countless x-rays taken, frequent felt discomfort and at the end, the unbearable pain.
If I had to do a comparison between my wisdom tooth extraction and this, this was by far the more torturing of the two by a long shot.
What was supposed to be spanned over 2 treatment visits was eventually extended to 5 because of certain procedure checks. Due to the availability of the Endodentist, at best, I could only get a visit once a month. It was mentally painful. Session after session, I was wondering when it was actually going to end, when was this torment finally going to cease?
I am relieved that it is finally over. My Root Canal re-treatment is completed. However that is not to say that this is the end of my tooth “adventure”.
I will be entrusting the task of crowning my tooth to my family dentist. For sure it will not take several months to complete it. I feel more assured knowing that the Dentist operating on my tooth is the same one that I have been visiting since young.
Before making an appointment, I decided that I will give myself some time to recover from this traumatic experience. It has broken to a point that I am starting to fear visiting the Dentist. Hopefully in a week or two, I would be able to pull myself together again and get my tooth crown started on.

I never liked the dentist… /shiver
