Update: I have found my modem at my desk. All well ends well.

I usually keep my SingTel Broadband on Mobile USB modem in my coin purse and always do periodic checks to make sure that it is still there. When I set off from home in the morning, it was still with me, fast forward to the end of the day and it is gone.

I only realized that it was missing when I was on board the bus home. Throughout the entire journey, I was trying very hard to drill down to the possible spots on my desk which I might have misplaced my modem at. I even contemplated alighting the bus just to return to the office and look for it. I did not and am regretting that decision at this very moment. I am no different from a nervous wreck now.

Although the modem was given to customers as part of the package, it does not come cheap and to replace it, I might have to dig deep into my pockets.

To get connected onto the Internet, just plug the modem into the computer’s USB slot and it just works. There is no authentication needed. Apart from just being able to surf the web, making voice calls and sending text messages can also be done from the admin. These are services which will cost. I have since cancelled the mobile services.

Right now, I only hope that nobody conveniently picks it up and that I would be able to find it when I get to the office tomorrow. God bless me.
