My 1st Cyber-shot
Finally got my Sony Cyber-shot T100. Black is sexy.
I want to share this experience with all of you so that you will be wary. Popped by a shop in Sim Lim Square called “Pixels and Pixels” and made some inquiries about the T100.
And whilst talking to us, he goes on to another customer who was leaving the shop, aren’t we supposed to have some attention as potential consumers here? Moving on …
When you ask how much does a camera cost, obviously you are looking at the whole package, with all the standard accessories (Battery, Charger … etc) and not just the camera itself. Yet the salesman still had the cheek to say I didn’t specify whether I wanted the whole package or just the camera, what kind of logic is this?
I was thinking:
Is there anyone in the world who sells a camera as a standalone?
Next he was offering me a 1GB Memory Card (Free), you got to marvel at his poor deals. Sony are selling this camera at $625 plus a 2GB Memory Stick. He asked, what type of brand of memory card is it? Does he really think I am an idiot? Sony cameras are using a proprietary memory stick and it costs more than the usual SD cards.
What was most ridiculous was that he was prepared to lower his offer all the way till $600 but I have had it with this guy whose intention was to con me.
I just managed to reach Sony Square before it closes to purchase the T100.
I like the menu system, a very smooth interface, and it is very easy to navigate. The tooltip really helps too, a very quick and concise explanation of the function. The settings are not plentiful but they are sufficient, I am still trying to understand which kind of situations to use them though.
