I have just signed up for a 6 month long one-club membership at California Fitness. I was only considering joining the club starting next year. However when I was presented with an extremely affordable package offer, I couldn’t say no to it.

A one-club membership will get you access in only one branch, in my case it was the one at Somerset. To start off, I was asked about my fitness goals. I would like to build up my strength, but at the same time not ignoring the athletic side. I was also given a walk-through of the 3 levels available. In all my trips to the different gyms, I have never seen such an extensive collection of dumbbells and equipment.

A body composition analysis was done to do a check on my current physical condition and I had a score of 80. It was also real pleasing to know that I had 52.5kg of muscle mass but there is definitely more room for improvement.

I paid a processing fee of SGD $98 and subsequent monthly charges would be priced at $79. Due to my plans to buy a DSLR in the very near future, I decided to commence my membership a month later. However I was given a 2 weeks long complimentary guest pass.

I was allocated 4 days (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun) to enter the club. Finally, I can enjoy lunch.

There are also a wide range of group exercise programs which I could join at no additional costs. I haven’t had a read on everything that is available yet but at times it certainly beats having to lift weights as it could get really repetitive and boring.

I can’t wait to get started this Monday after work.
