How did LimeTouch came about
It was almost a year ago when I decided on having my own domain name by signing up with ComputingHost on the 27th of May 2007. Throughout the entire time, I never actually revealed why I chose limetouch.com instead of something more personal like darranlow.com (darran.com is taken).
I wanted to have a unique identity on the web where the practically whole world is connected. I don’t know if there is another ‘Darran’ in Singapore, I doubt so, but for certain there are more than 1 Darrans around the world. I wanted an identity which could reflect upon me.
Lime; for the diversity it brings with the mixture of the colors green and yellow. Limes are often used to accent the flavors of food and beverages.
A fine example of such a food item would be Hokkien Mee. It goes best with lime. The juice would be squeezed onto the noodles, and there you go, ready for consumption. But not all food items go well with lime. Similarly, what I blog about may not be your cup of tea.
If you are someone interested in modifying your WordPress theme or actually creating valid XHTML websites, you would not really be interested in what goes on my life unless you want to know me beyond my blogger status and vice versa.
However if you are interested in coding and would like to know what goes on in my life, by all means subscribe to my RSS feed.
Did I also mention that it is a color which just by looking at it makes me feel calm and serene?
Touch; too much of everything is never healthy. Even supplements when taken in huge quantities are not good for your body. That is why I do not want to have a single blog direction. With this being a personal blog, I do not want it to be just about my thoughts. I want to extend it by attempting to educate my readers about what web development.
There is more to this empty Lime than just coding and his life, from time to time, I would blog about the music albums I purchased as well as my idols (Rainie Yang and Ting Chu).
The only similarity between my different blog directions is that all of them focuses on anything and everything relating to me.
And there you have it, it adds up to LimeTouch.

Orh…. now I noe… all along I thought that you had the idea after you accidentally touched a lime.
*feels cold wind rush across the blog *
That was cold.
I am sure everyone in Singapore has touched a lime before.
OK subscribed..
Hey Darran… I guess you meant 2007 in the beginning.. right?
Ah yes, a typo. Thanks for pointing it out.
