Hit with a stye
June must be the month of misfortunes, at least for me. One after another, it has befallen me. First it was a strained tendon, then multiple wounds on my elbows, knee, heel and toe during last week’s street soccer session and now this, a stye. What is next on the list? Surprise me! Thankfully June is ending in another 3 days.
My left eye was badly swollen on Thursday and today it got worse. I was even asked whether did I had any sleep the previous night. At first, I thought it was a normal bruise I would occasionally suffer while sleeping. Just so you know, I have the weirdest odd habit of hurting myself while being asleep and I would wake up the next morning feeling the pinching pain.
Surprisingly enough, I have never hurt the ones whom I have shared a bed with.
If it was a normal bruise, the swelling would have at least soften down on the second day but it didn’t and a trip to the doctor beckoned. And it turned out to be something more than a simple bruise. Approximately a week to full recovery, hopefully in some way before the 3rd of July.
I decided to give today’s briefing with our X-Trekkers coordinator a miss. Despite its importance, I do not want to risk a re-infection and spoil my whole climbing experience. Right now, a good rest at home would be the best option. I can always gather the essentials from my friends later on.
You would not want to see me now. No outings this weekend. Stye has a very close phonetical similarity to Styke.

Maybe you are pissed with yourself for all the injuries. Hence you punched yourself!
MYSTERY SOLVED!
This proves that you hate your current self.. Join some Ping outing and you will be cured..
i hope i didn’t infect you son.
krisandro: I have been injured enough, why would I wanna injure myself again? Haha
Bernard: I don’t hate myself, I love myself! I don’t have affinity with Ping outings.
s.kiat: Always with the “son”.
