Group X Workout
Apart from a gym, California Fitness offers group exercise classes too. Together with Nadia, we attended ‘Body Combat’; a mixture of kick boxing and martial arts. This was also my very first in attending a group exercise class.
It really takes some time to grasp the basic punching and kicking techniques used during the work out. As the class progressed, the groove starts to get to you and it is much easier to follow the instructor. With more classes under my belt, I would really be able to comfortably enjoy the work out.
Before too long, I was a sweaty mess. That was how intense the work out was. Tiredness doesn’t really get to you at all, with the booming music, you just don’t want to stop and keep going.
I did not bring along a water bottle and every time there is a short break of less than 1 minute, I would rush to the nearest water cooler to replenish the fluids in my body. Lesson noted for future classes: to bring a water bottle.
It was an enjoyable time, it didn’t really feel anything like an exercise class. I had fun more than anything else. I can’t wait for the second session and while I’m at it, maybe I could give ‘Body Pump’ a try too.
How fitting was it to have a 2 hr long buffet lunch at Suki Sushi after a work out? I had one too many pieces of Tofu, 6 to be exact and right now I just want to stay off it.

alrighty! let’s go for the next session together! let’s just skip the sushi buffet this time
And it was nice meeting you too! Sorry I had to rush off, was already hounded by my sister to stop lounging in the locker room.
