End of my preparatory course
Though I had officially completed my 5 week long preparatory course to the final year of the Bachelor of Computer Science degree program on Monday, I have only just received my scores.
My scores
- Java Programming 1: 26/30
- Java Programming 2: 30/30
- Computers, Networking & Communication: 29/30
- Information Encoding: 26/30
- Programming assignment: 45/50
I am very familiar with most modules as most of them were taken during my time with Singapore Polytechnic. I was quite sure that one of my networking modules covered Information Encoding very briefly.
After the necessary computations, my overall score is 91%. I am obviously pleased.
Students who obtain a satisfactory pass will gain entry to the Final Year of the Bachelor of Computer Science degree program by the University of Adelaide.
A satisfactory pass would be classified as an overall score of 65% or higher.
Right now, I am eagerly but patiently anticipating my acceptance letter from NAAEC.

Nice score! As expected from you
wow, tt’s grt results. (: i dun think i can ever score so well for java and programming.lol
Thanks! It was only a 30 MCQ test which tested our eyesight. Many a times, they would ask, “Which of the following is not true?”
Hi,I am malik. I am very interested in taking up Bachelor of Computer Science degree program by the University of Adelaide.
Was the prep course diffcult? i shouldn’t ask u that haha. Well i have got IT Dip from NYP. GPA of 2.1, is it possible for me to get a place there.??
Kind to share with me? pls?
BTW what is Information Encoding?
The prep course was not difficult, it was meant to be only introductory. But you got to know your stuff in the programming assignment, as it covers 40% of your overall score.
A GPA of 2.1 for sure is not going to get you a place in the degree. To get in, you have to scoring at least 65% in the prep course. The next prep course would be held on 2nd Oct.
In Information Encoding, you learn the different number systems (Binary, Octal, Hexadecimal), simple arithmetics and conversion.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
