Another go at SPORE
Due to a change of heart, I have removed the previous post on selling away my copy of the SPORE standard edition and Creature Creator. I thought, instead of trying to make a quick sale and recover most of my spent money back, why not give it another chance?
I am no longer selling my copies. Any advertisements previously made are now void.
When I first got my hands on SPORE, I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to get it loaded.
I tried to complete it in the shortest amount of time possible and that eventually set my opinion on the game on a bad note. Maybe that was the reason why I didn’t like it.
I approached the game in a totally wrong direction. I didn’t enjoy it and wondered to myself, what set in this mentality?
At the civilization stage, I was prompted for a descriptive name for the designed house my species were going to live in, I nonchalantly entered a very generic one; ‘house’.
We could build houses, buildings and even vehicles. However at the thought of having to design each one, I had enough and quitted the game without saving it.
Despite all that, I am going to have another go with a different approach. Let’s see if my opinion of the game will change.

Is it like black & white + the sims?
There are some similarities. The Sims part is only in the beginning stages, I hate interacting and making allies, most of the time I choose to wipe them out. After that, it gets fun.
