Thanks to our competitive nature, we are done with our longest lasting Saturday street soccer session to date; from 1030 hrs to 1730 hrs. The end result were badly sunburnt shoulders and a slight fever accompanied with body aches. At a point of time, I was contemplating a visit to a massage parlor.

Along the way we did take breaks, it would be unrealistic to be playing for a straight 7 hours right under the unforgiving blazing heat of the sun. It would either be in the morning or in the afternoon. Not once ever have we played through the 2 sessions at one go. I guess there is always a first time for everything.

Lunch was settled in the quickest of fashion, in the form of nuggets on a stick, a can of Milo and a bottle of VitaMilk. It was a far cry from being sufficient, but I had to make do with it. I did not want to end up throwing up what I ate midway through the match.

It took me 12 hours of sleep to return to my normal self. And even now, I am still suffering from the aftereffect of being under the sun for such a long time. My legs are aching terribly, and bathing is no longer a painless routine.

Note to self: From now on, I shall attempt to play in just one street soccer session instead of two.
