I can’t believe 2007 is about to end soon but with each end, there is a new beginning.

2008 is quickly on its way to welcome us, and what better way to reciprocate than with our annual new year resolution which many of us fail to achieve by the time each year is nearing its end?

New year resolutions are what I would like to call aims we hope to set ourselves driving towards in a year. We may not necessarily achieve what we have set out to do, but at least we have tried; well I know I have; have you?

Here’s mine on a personal level:

  1. Get a gold award in my IPPT
  2. Learn one of rock climbing, canoeing and wind surfing
  3. Meet a girl whom I can connect to and call her my significant other

To achieve a gold award in my IPPT, there must be discipline, effort and consistency. As long as I have these 3 qualities in my routine, there is no reason why I can’t make the jump from a silver to a gold award.

While playing football has all along been a favorite past time, I am also interested in some adventurous sports like the above mentioned. However all these while, it has been all talking and no action, it is time to get something done.

It is not for certain that I will meet a girl who I really take a fancy to in 2008; I shall leave it to fate. There is no point in going out there and getting a girlfriend just for the sake of subduing my loneliness and cries for dedicated attention, I have to get the right and suitable one whom I will feel comfortable and blissful with.

Nevertheless, I will be patiently looking out for her.
Maybe she is looking out for me too; somewhere out there.
